Telangana CM Revanth Reddy stated that the government would continue its welfare schemes for women and the poor in the state. He also highlighted the importance of repaying the debt to women for their support and contributions to the state’s progress.
In a recent address at the Praja Palana Vijayotsava Sabha in Warangal, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the state’s commitment to providing welfare schemes for the poor and women as long as the sun and moon exist. He acknowledged that his rise to leadership, as both TPCC President and Chief Minister, was due to the blessings of Telangana’s women, noting their pivotal role in his success.
Revanth Reddy criticized the previous BRS government, pointing out that between 2014 and 2019, there was not a single woman minister in their cabinet. However, under the current government, he proudly mentioned that women were given significant roles, including the appointment of Konda Surekha and Seethakka as ministers in the first cabinet. He also recognized that Telangana women were entrusted with key positions, such as the Mayor of Warangal Corporation, and other important administrative posts.
Furthermore, CM Revanth highlighted the achievements of women like Kadium Kavya, who was sent to Parliament from Warangal and has raised her voice on Telangana’s issues in the national legislature. He also referred to Yashaswini Reddy, who defeated a powerful opponent in the Palakurthi elections, symbolizing the strength and resilience of Telangana’s women in politics.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the responsibility of repaying the debt to women remains with the government and the Congress Party, as they continue to advocate for their rights and empowerment in Telangana. He concluded by reaffirming the party’s commitment to serving the women who have supported the government’s policies and leadership.
