The Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana commenced his visit to MINExpo 2024, the world’s largest mining event, on Tuesday, September 24, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Running from September 24–26, the event showcases the latest innovations, technologies, and machinery in the mining industry, attracting over 44,000 professionals from more than 125 countries.
On the first day, the Deputy Chief Minister participated in crucial meetings, beginning with the management of Komatsu, where he explored their advanced products, including the D475A-8 mining dozer and the GD955-7 motor grader. He then met with representatives from Caterpillar Inc., examining their innovative offerings such as the 372-tonne Cat® 798 AC mining truck, designed for autonomous operations.
Additionally, he engaged with BKT tyres and the Wirtgen group, assessing their contributions to the mining sector. The Deputy Chief Minister also met with high-ranking US government officials, including Mr. Arun Venkataraman, Assistant Secretary of Global Markets, who led the delegation. The discussions focused on sustainability in mining, the strategic significance of rare earth metal mining, and potential partnerships for the development of the new Fourth City in Hyderabad.
