Hemant Soren will take oath as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the fourth time on the 26th of this month in Ranchi. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, and other India alliance leaders will attend the ceremony. The JMM-Congress alliance defeated the BJP alliance in the recent elections and will form the government.
Hemant Soren will take oath as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the fourth time on 26th November. The oath-taking ceremony will take place in Ranchi, with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, and other leaders from the INDIA alliance attending.
The JMM-Congress alliance secured a strong victory in the recent Jharkhand Assembly elections, defeating the BJP alliance. JMM won 34 seats, Congress 16, and other allies including RJD secured additional seats. The NDA alliance, led by BJP, only managed to win 24 seats.
Out of 81 Assembly seats in Jharkhand, the majority mark is 41, and the JMM-Congress alliance secured 56 seats. The JMM alone won 34 of these seats. The BJP, despite contesting in 68 seats, could only manage 21 seats.
Soren’s victory in Barhet was notable, where he secured a margin of over 39,000 votes, and his wife Kalpana Soren won with a margin of over 13,000 votes in Gande. Soren is now focusing on forming his cabinet, considering reintroducing ministers who lost in the previous elections.
