Collection of Diverse Poems 'Hridaya Virulu'

Central Sahitya Akademi Advisory Board member and President of Telangana Writers Association, Naleshwaram Sankaram, stated that ‘Hridaya Virulu’ is a poetry collection with diverse poems on varied themes. The book, written by emerging poetess Mankali Suguna, was unveiled at a literary event held at the local Film Bhavan on Sunday, organized by Bhavani Literary Forum under the chairmanship of Vairagyam Prabhakar.

During the event, Sankaram highlighted that the poetry collection covers a wide array of subjects such as social issues, patriotism, family bonds, as well as the lives of workers, farmers, soldiers, and nature. He added that the poetess has translated her inner thoughts into words through these poems.

Veteran lyricist, actor, and singer Sadanala Venkataswamy Naidu, who attended as a special guest, shared his thoughts on the collection, praising it as a gathering of poems written with progressive ideas, social responsibility, and deep affection for nature. He emphasized the importance for poets to improve their craft through continuous study.

Principal of Mulkannur Model School, Harjeet Kaur, who was a guest of honor, remarked that the poems in Hridaya Virulu are born from Suguna’s compassionate heart. Bommakanti Kishan, General Secretary of the Telangana Telugu Language Preservation Association, expressed his admiration for the book and encouraged everyone to read it.

The event also saw the review of the book Neelagiri Anita by the poetess Pabba Jyothilakshmi. Several eminent personalities from the literary world attended the gathering, including Telangana Writers Association President Kotha Anil Kumar, Terave Secretary Damarakunta Shankarayya, prominent story writer B.V.N. Swamy, Muduganti Sudhakar Reddy, children’s literature expert Pendoto Venkateshwarlu, Dr. Aedunuri Venkateshwarlu, Boyini Sampath, Ramu Itikal, Janagani Yugandhar, Korukanti Shashi Kiranmayi, Yogi Acharya Sampath Kumar, Paka Ram Mohan, Tadi Goppula Kumaraswamy, Velmulu Jayapal Reddy, Kasireddy Jalandhar Reddy, Manupati Rajayya, Masam Seema, Pedda Raju Satyanarayana Raju, Nadimetla Ramayya, Raparti Venkateshwarlu, and others, along with the poetess’s siblings and close friends.
