The State Election Commission plans to conduct the elections in three phases:
- First Phase: January 21
- Second Phase: January 25
- Third Phase: January 30
Polling will occur between 7 AM and 1 PM, followed by counting from 2 PM. After counting is complete, the election for Upa-Sarpanch will be held.
Eligibility Guidelines for Candidates:
- Candidates with more than two children are ineligible to contest.
- Those with a third child born after June 1, 1995, cannot contest, except in cases of multiple births in one delivery.
- Minimum age for candidates is 21 years.
- The candidate must be a registered voter in the Panchayat.
- Proposer for Ward Member or Sarpanch must also be a voter from the same ward or village.
- Employees of local bodies, Anganwadi workers, or those involved in religious institutions under Section 15 of the Endowments Act are ineligible.
- Officials or employees of government-managed corporations with more than 25% government stake cannot contest.
- Government employees must resign and provide certification before the nomination scrutiny deadline.
