KTR, accompanied by senior BRS leaders, visited the Sangareddy jail to meet the farmers from Lagarcharla who have been arrested following land disputes. These farmers, primarily from poor SC, ST, and BC communities, are distressed over the acquisition of their land for minimal compensation. The land, valued at lakhs of rupees, is being taken for corporate projects, and the farmers are furious over being offered a mere fraction of its worth.

KTR expressed deep concern about the exploitation of farmers, claiming that Congress leaders, especially Revanth Reddy, have a role in these disputes. He criticized Revanth Reddy’s change of stance on land acquisition, pointing out his earlier opposition to the pharma industry and now his involvement in taking away thousands of acres for industrial use. KTR also highlighted the involvement of Congress party members in the violent attacks on farmers during protests.

During the visit, KTR met with 16 of the arrested farmers, including a government employee, and listened to their grievances. He revealed that many people, who were not even part of the protests, were wrongfully imprisoned. He also mentioned that the violence in the region was primarily instigated by Congress supporters, with some of the attackers identified as Congress leaders.

KTR condemned the actions of Congress party members and accused them of orchestrating the attacks. He emphasized that BRS would continue to fight for the rights of farmers and ensure their protection. He also reassured the families of the arrested farmers that BRS would provide legal aid and support them until justice is served.

KTR warned Congress leaders, especially Revanth Reddy, that their political reigns would not last forever and vowed that BRS would stand firm against such oppression. He asserted that the farmers would not be abandoned and promised to confront the government over these injustices.
