The Kerala government, led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has shared sweet news for Ayyappa devotees.
They will implement free insurance coverage for the devotees. This decision was made during a meeting chaired by the CM.
A sum of ₹5 lakhs will be provided as insurance for devotees who lose their lives while visiting the temple.
Officials will make arrangements to transport the deceased’s body back to their native village.
The Travancore Devaswom Board will pay the premium for the special insurance coverage scheme.
