Kamya Karthikeyan, a 16-year-old from Mumbai, has become the youngest girl to climb the tallest peaks across seven continents. She completed the “Seven Summits Challenge” by scaling Mount Vinson in Antarctica on December 24, 2024, alongside her father, Commander Karthikeyan. Kamya, a 12th-grade student at Navy Children’s School, now aims to reach the North and South Poles.

 

Kamya Karthikeyan, a 16-year-old girl from Mumbai, has achieved an extraordinary feat by becoming the youngest to conquer the tallest peaks on all seven continents. Her accomplishment in the “Seven Summits Challenge” has made her a global inspiration in the field of mountaineering.

Kamya successfully scaled Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa), Mount Elbrus (Europe), Mount Kosciuszko (Australia), Mount Aconcagua (South America), Mount Denali (North America), Mount Everest (Asia), and finally Mount Vinson (Antarctica). On December 24, 2024, she completed her challenge with her father, Commander Karthikeyan, accompanying her on the final climb to Mount Vinson.

Currently a 12th-grade student at the Navy Children’s School in Mumbai, Kamya’s achievements have brought immense pride to her family and the nation. The Indian Navy has lauded her father, Commander Karthikeyan, for his support and encouragement.

Kamya has now set her sights on new adventures, aiming to reach the North and South Poles. Her unwavering determination and passion for mountaineering continue to inspire young adventurers worldwide.
